Removing Gold Pins from Rj45 connectors with a shredder

Rj45's are probably my least favorite plug with gold plated pins.
Whilst the pins are a good fully gold plated pin and worth keeping, i'm still trying to come up with an easy way to remove the pins.

So cutting down and flattening them out before putting them through a paper shredder is the best way so far, I think 3 or 4 runs through a shredder will really separate the pins well.
