How many times have we skipped our cool down? We figure we just don't have time or we will just stretch later. A good cool down procedure is critical in maximizing our fitness progress. It will aid in our bodies repair process, speed up recovery and help to prevent future injury. Cooling down will help to prevent DOMS, or delayed onset muscle soreness, blood pooling and through techniques like self administered myofascial release we can apply pressure to trigger points and release tension in the muscles.
