How much rest between sets? Using rest times for recovery as opposed to intensify your workout.

If you have been watching my channel for any length of time then you know that I am a big fan of timing our workouts and controlling the length of our rest times. This can be an especially effective tool when we workout at home and don't have the option of unlimited weights to use to increase our training resistance. We can use the time we rest between sets the same way we use the number of reps, amount of weight we chose, or the number of sets we do as all of those things can be manipulated in order to increase training intensity.
But sometimes we just want to move some big weight. And when it comes to strength training and hypertrophy based strength training. The purpose of the rest period changes from a tool to adjust intensity to a tool to insure recovery between sets.
