When I first started paying attention to what I was eating. My goals were to lose some weight and build muscle. health wasn't even a consideration. I think this was because I thought if I lost some weight and built more muscle I'd be healthier and they are definitely connected.

When it comes to eating healthy there are six essential nutrients we need to think about. The first are macro nutrients and we tend to talk about these ones a lot. They are our proteins, fats and carbs. Then we have micro nutrients Our vitamins and minerals. While we are familiar with these we tend not to pay as much attention to them.
