AMAZING Metroid Gameboy Mod | DMG GAMEBOY IPS SCREEN MOD

Just want to give a big shout out to RetroModding.com for sending this kit for this mod.

This video goes over the latest version (v.3) of the IPS LCD kit for the DMG Gameboy sold by Retro Modding. They provided me with everything I needed including this really awesome custom replacement Metroid shell.

The IPS screen used here is absolutely stunning and brings new life the Original Gameboy in ways no other backlight mod can. The engineering behind this was genius and they have made installation very simple. For the most part, it is plug and play with the exception of having to solder your speaker into the main PCB. This shouldn't be hard, and even a beginner on a soldering iron should be able to manage this.
