Here we have an expensive and (potentially) very high quality telephoto zoom lens for full-frame (or APS-C) cameras. How can a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 lens be worth £1,000? Perhaps this hefty 'L' lens can offer us something that other telephoto zooms cannot.
