Donald Trump Cancels Press Conference to Discuss Charges Against Him
Donald Trump is facing four criminal indictments brought by three Democrat prosecutors as part of a 2024 campaign plan.
Trump did something unexpected and backed down.
And Donald Trump made one shocking admission about his criminal charges.
Democrat District Attorney Fani Willis is the second partisan prosecutor to slap Trump with a politically motivated indictment over the 2020 election.
Willis charged Trump and 18 lawyers, supporters and top aides with a mind-bending conspiracy that stretched the law far past the limits of all reasonable interpretation.
Trump initially followed his instinct to fight back and blasted the Democrat district attorney for creating a crime where none existed in service of Joe Biden’s 2024 political interests.
“I DIDN’T TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION! THOSE WHO RIGGED & STOLE THE ELECTION WERE THE ONES DOING THE TAMPERING, & THEY ARE THE SLIME THAT SHOULD BE PROSECUTED. I MADE A PERFECT PHONE CALL OF PROTEST,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL THE FULTON COUNTY GRAND JURY THAT I DID NOT TAMPER WITH THE ELECTION. THE PEOPLE THAT TAMPERED WITH IT WERE THE ONES THAT RIGGED IT.”
Trump also announced a press conference at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club where he would unveil his legal defense about the 2020 election.
“A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey. Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others – There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election. They only went after those that fought to find the RIGGERS!” Trump later wrote.
But 48 hours before the press conference Trump called it off telling supporters he was following the advice of his lawyers and would make his case in court documents.
“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment by a publicity & campaign finance seeking D.A., who sadly presides over a record-breaking Murder & Violent Crime,” Trump declared.
Willis already twisted Trump’s phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where Trump asked Raffensperger for an investigation into the vote into a criminal act.Willis also claimed instructing supporters to watch TV was an act in furtherance of this conspiracy.
Trump’s lawyers convinced Trump that any innocuous comment Trump made, Willis would bend to her own needs to help convince the highly Democrat jury Trump is sure to face that Trump is guilty of these nonexistent crimes.
