It's a melon! Garden update 8-20-23

The garden is getting emptier by the week, but then, it's August, after all. The garden gets emptier and the cupboards and freezers get fuller! This was the most intensive canning and freezing week I've had all summer. Certainly thankful that I am retired!

The only thing that really flourishes in September are the peppers. Well, and maybe the cantaloupes...although I don't think most of them will ever have a chance to ripen. But who needs 15 melons of 5-7 pounds each? ...although I may try to freeze chunks of them like I did with peach slices.
If I can make room in one of the freezers...
