Marines and the Amphibious Transport Docks of the US Navy are major components in the ability for the US to deliver humanitarian aid to those who need it. Each LCD has its own Air wing and amphibious capabilities, engineers and medical services that allow Marines to quickly establish a base of operations and provide humanitarian relief.
