Finally, the big Toyota electric car announcement and what an announcement it was! Seriously, how often does a big manufacturer announce a new model? not massively regularly hey? Well, Toyota has gone and announced a massive 11 new models coming in the next few years and some of them are some of the most remarkable looking designs you are likely to see.

New Toyota EV's will include a Toyota Sports car with a 0-60 of sub 2 seconds and over 400 miles of range, some amazing new EV off-roaders, the Toyota Box vehicles (designed for delivery drivers) and a host of radical new family car and SUV style designs. A number fo these have the potential to become the next best electric car available in 2022 or 2023.

As car reveals go, this was a big one, as Toyota reveals go this was EPIC! Toyota and Lexus have for many years produced very functional and supremely reliable cars but they could have been accused of being slightly ordinary or even boring when it came to designing. It looks like this has all changed in a single press announcement. You have to think that Toyota is going to be giving the likes of Tesla a run for it's money.

These are seriously some stunning vehicles and there's seems to be something for everyone in this huge new range of electric vehicles. I can't wait to see production models of these cars starting to appear over the next couple of years, the first of course is the Toyota BZ4X.

the star of the electric show is the Toyota Sports EV. As of this writing, Toyota hasn’t released any details about its powertrain or even its layout. However, there are a few things we can reasonably infer based on its design and some of the brand’s comments.

Firstly, the Toyota Sports EV might use a less-extreme version of the Lexus LFA successor’s powertrain, Car and Driver says. That would keep development costs down while still delivering solid performance. Secondly, as an electric sports car, the Sports EV likely has rear-wheel drive, both to save weight and deliver a proper sporty experience. And finally, the concept car’s short overhangs, compact size, and overall proportions suggest that it’s a mid-engine two-seater.

If that last part sounds familiar, it’s because there once was a Toyota sports car like that: the MR2. Could we see a new Totoya MR2 as a pocket rocket of an EV?

The new Lexus LFA with a sub 2 second 0-60 time is another star here, combined with it's impressive claimed EV range of at least 435 miles, this one may just be a game-changer for Lexus.

Will the new 2022 Toyota Tundra soon be joined by a full EV version as we see in the concept pickup in this video?? This new Toyota EV range is simply stunning.

These have to be some of the most exciting upcoming electric cars.
Great work Toyoda San!
