Iran’s Royan Institute researches umbilical cords in treating cancer

Western sanctions on Tehran may have provided a boost to the country with Iran's Royan Institute defying the technological blockade by filling the scientific void in other ways. The institution has made advances in stem cell treatments for cancer, as well as infertility treatments and even cloning.
