UK Used Car Prices are Dropping!

That's right, used car prices are dropping in the UK right now for the first time in a long time with more price decreases likely in coming months (for the more expensive cars in any case)

Several things are at play here with a lot of political instability, rising inflation, the energy crisis, and a recession. Cars are now routinely going through auctions at trade price, this has not been the case in recent times and is likely due to more car dealers having excess stock and therefore not bidding at auctions - this brings the prices down. Will there be a total used car price crash? let's wait and see.

This will obviously take a few weeks to properly take effect but you can already see signs of prices dropping on AutoTrader, you'll also see that WeBuyAnyCar valuations are now far less generous than they have been in the past.
