Vintage Memorex Telex Teardown

Scrapping a vintage telex machine sounded great, and it was for the nice cards that come out of it.
But it seems the main IBM parat of it, The motherboard was missing?
I could be wrong and the main CPU was on one the cards but i'm pretty sure the top section should of had a motherboard.
