Yakuza: Like A Dragon Review - The Best Modern Turn-Based JRPG?

Welcome to my review Yakuza: Like A Dragon! This game was developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, published by Sega, and released in 2020 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox, and PC. It is also the first Yakuza game to implement turn-based combat, deviating from the action oriented combat that the series has been known for with the previous seven games. They took a major risk by doing that, but let me tell you, this is one of the best turn-based jrpgs of the modern era. I absolutely loved this game, from its compelling cast of characters, to a story full of all sorts of plot twists and callbacks to the prior games, to the wide variety of minigames and substories to engage in. There is just so much to do in Yakuza: Like A Dragon! Please make note of timestamps down below if you are haven't played the game before, as I do have certain sections of the video marked for spoilers.
