The Siege of Buda took place from May 4th to August 21st in 1541. During this time, the Ottoman Empire managed to capture the city of Buda in Hungary.
This event was significant because it resulted in the Ottoman Empire controlling Hungary for about 150 years.
The siege was a big part of the conflicts between the Ottoman Empire and the Habsburg Monarchy, which lasted from the 16th to the 18th century.
This victory for the Ottomans was a crucial moment in these battles that happened in both Hungary and the Balkans.
