Fishing impoundments for barra | Catching big freshwater barramundi in Proserpine Dam

Day one of our trip to Proserpine dam chasing big impoundment barramundi. Metre plus fish are plentiful in the dam and we got off to a great start before a huge thunderstorm chased us back to the ramp.

Dam fish are often afflicted with barotrauma which needs to be vented or the fish will die. We show you how in this short clip.
