Shigar region, which spans an area of 8,500 sq. km., is the entrance to the enormous Karakoram. On an old trade route from Central Asia, it is situated. Baltoro Glacier, which is 35 miles long, is at the head of the Braldo Valley. Shigar's own northern ridge climbs to a height of 28,265 feet, with the K2 serving as its summit. From Skardu, Shigar Valley is only a short drive away. It includes a sizable agricultural area and a number of alluring tourist attractions. Shigar River is used to irrigate Shigar's rich land. Fruits including grapes, peaches, pears, walnuts, and apricots are in great abundance there. From Skardu to Askole, the valley runs for 170 kilometres.
