I was initially concerned about the amount of dust and debris that would accumulate in our new home, especially with two dogs and a husband who sheds a lot of hair.
However, the Roomba i6+ has been a lifesaver in keeping our floors clean and free of dust, dander, and hair. One of the things I love about this robot vacuum is that I can easily schedule its cleaning sessions and choose which areas I want it to focus on.
I no longer have to manually dust and mop our hard floors, as the Roomba takes care of it for me. The only thing I need to do is move any big items that would obstruct its path, but I would have done that anyway when cleaning.
In combination with another brands floor cleaner, our floors have never looked better. I occasionally check the app to ensure everything is running smoothly and make any necessary adjustments to the cleaning schedule.
Additionally, I use the other machine to power mop the floor every few days, making it a perfect duo for cleaner floors.
I came across some comments mentioning that the Roomba had difficulty crossing transition strips on laminate floors, but I havent experienced this issue with our model.
It seamlessly moves from room to room, effortlessly crossing transition strips without any problems. It also performs admirably on our rugs and the two carpeted bedrooms.
One of the best features of the Roomba i6+ is its ability to fit under furniture like dressers and nightstands. This means no more surprise dust bunnies and hair balls accumulating in hard-to-reach places.
It efficiently cleans every nook and cranny, leaving our home spotless. However, there is one downside Ive noticed with this model. Unlike other Roomba models, the dust cup of the i6+ cannot be accessed.
This means that if it accidentally sucks up something that it shouldnt, I have to dig it out of the vacuums bag in the base after it has finished cleaning.
While this is a minor inconvenience, it does not outweigh the overall effectiveness and convenience of the product.
