From Kalka-Shima Heritage Railway Line to a temple in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh is battered again by heavy rains.
At least 60 people have been killed as hillsides collapse, burying homes and triggering flash floods. The state's chief minister said Himachal Pradesh suffered damage worth 10,000 crore rupees - that's close to 1.2 billion dollars.
It will take a year, maybe more, to revive infrastructure. It already suffered widespread damage last month too due to the heavy downpour.
Rains have been recorded at 45% and 18% above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Officials have been increasingly blaming the phenomenon of climate change for the condition of these two states.
But can climate change alone be blamed?
