Italy, Hawaii and Now Tenerife: Fighting Climate Change with Arson

A wildfire raging on Tenerife was started deliberately, officials have said.

The number of people forced to evacuate their homes since the blaze broke out on Wednesday has reached more than 12,000, after it spread across northeastern towns and villages.

Canary Islands regional president Fernando Clavijo said police suspected arson and had opened three lines of investigation, but did not reveal whether there had been any arrests.
