ELECTRICITY GENERATION BY MOVING VEHICLES

Wind energy is a renewable energy resource which makes use of wind velocity. The wind velocity is dependent on the climate and geographical location. This paper uses an idea to generate the energy from relative wind velocity of moving vehicles. If a vehicle moves the wind blows with respect to the vehicle. A small wind turbine placed on the vehicle can generate electricity. This generated electricity can be stored in a battery. In highly populated country like India a large number of vehicles run throughout the day. These vehicles can generate huge amount of electricity. The electricity generated by these vehicles would be environment friendly and free. This paper presents a model to utilize and manage electricity generated by moving vehicles in habitats.
