Food Supply - Very few people are prepared, if any for a two week shutdown of grocery stores. Ideally space permitting adopt Holmgren's 12 permaculture principles for your own garden and small animal farm, along with Minimum Viable Architecture and structures with recycled goods then before winter learn how to pickle and can goods for full self sufficiency and freedom.
But if that's not an option : Freeze Dried Foods, Canned Goods and however many weeks of food you are comfortable storing. Some say 1-2 Weeks but ideally 3 months + plus would be best then just consume it and rotate it out as it reaches its expiration dates
Water Purification - The one time bottled water is actually needed and pouches last even longer. If you know of bad weather or a disaster that would affect running water or the supply, there's a few options to take care of both you and your family.
1. Water Bob - goes in the bathtub and holds up to 100 gallons of freshwater, great for emergency use
2. Water Purification Tablets - Water purifying tablets typically contain iodine, chlorine or chlorine dioxide. Taking into account the average water consumption for an average adult, these tablets are safe for people with no underlying medical conditions. This is a last resort, inappropriate use can lead to irritation of the mouth and throat, and can cause stomach problems.
3.Water Purification Straws - Ideally you have a fresh water spring or untouched stream, lifestraws and their gravity bags along with other off brand similar options are very viable on the go.
4.Let there be light!
Hand Crank or Battery operated LED Lights, Oil Lantern, Extended Burn (Tea) Candles
Hand crank radio, Ham radio and or a GPS with a solar panel charger and power bank for any applicable devices
Shelter - Sleeping Bags, stuff sack, and a pillow Solar LED Hangable Lights all complete a tent setup, always get one for your climate but my favorite is the Coleman pop up tents for the easiest setup or even connectable tents for larger families…
Propane / Butane Heaters - The best option is a Wood Fired Stove but for most that's not an option so, Anyone in a northern region a heater is going to be a must vent carbon monoxide and CO2, Dont be your own worst enemy let your buddy heater vent.

6.IFAK or first responder bag
7.B.O.B - backpacking bag w/ 3 days of food 🥘
