But Why India's Country Code is +91? (3D Animation
Have you ever thought about why the International Telephonic country code of India is +91 and not +63, +1, +7, or something else? Let's understand it with the 3D Animation. This is the building of the International Telecommunication Union or ITU. ITU is the department that provided the country codes to all the countries in the world. ITU divided the globe into 9 different zones, within which, India fell in the 9th zone, and got +91 as its country code. All the countries under the 9th zone have their unique code starting from 9, for example - the country code of Pakistan is +92, +93 for Afghanistan, +94 for Sri Lanka, and likewise, India has +91. And that is why a person living outside India has to use +91 before the number to place a call in India, for instance - +91-99-830-83303. Here +91 is the country code, 99 is the access code, 830 is the provider code e.g. Jio, Airtel, etc., and the last 5 digits are called subscriber code. It's really easy to explain anything using 3D Animation, right? So what are you waiting for? Hit that subscribe button now? #ITUshorts #Countrycodeshorts #Indiashorts
