Malians back transfer of military jets to Niger in support of coup govt

After the ECOWAS group of West African states said it was drawing up a military plan against Niger, neighboring Mali and Burkina Faso warned that any such action would amount to a declaration of war against them as well.

The two states also sent military aircraft to help Niger in the event of hostilities. The move has the backing of locals in the Malian capital of Bamako.
