Dog terrified of windstorm Climbs into Owners lap

Poncho our rescue dog from Mexico has some definite quirks. She is brave when things enter our yard, but with storms, she is definitely not brave. Recently there was a wind storm with gust near 40 miles per hour. With that trees were rustling in the yard, and wind was whistling through parts of the house . Poncho came charging onto Brent's lap and pushed against him as hard as she could. Shaking with trembling ears and body she would not move for about an hour. Even comforting could not stop the shaking. Once the winds died down a bit she then went into her bed and was given a treat and her favourite toy.
