Haphazard Kismet follows two globetrotting miscreants trying to make ends meet as smugglers in the future's rowdy and strange detritus. Chance Chanski is a disgraced pilot who may be the deadliest man on Earth via freak accidents. His associate, Couch, dies and resurrects, commonly in a blind rage.

This first volume finds them completing a job for the Yakuza, only to inherit another dangerous task and their employer’s daughter. If it seems dubious, it probably is, and danger lurks everywhere as they attempt to cross the “Ocean of Waste and Slaughter.”
