Our behavior as believers must be governed by love. In fact, any choices we make are a byproduct of God’s love shed abroad in our hearts as per Rom.5:1-5.

So if you find yourself thinking of sin as a violation of the law. You are thinking like someone who is in the wrong covenant. Because sin in the New Covenant is unbelief as per John16:9. And choices made accordingly are simply by products of that unbelief. Just as choices made in accord with our belief in Jesus are a by product of believing in Him.

While the sin is unbelief. And righteousness is believing in Jesus.
