ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL — Liverpool earned their first Premier League win of the season as they beat Bournemouth 3-1 despite the loss of Alexis Mac Allister to a second-half red card.

The Reds were forced to come from behind as a shambolic start was punished when Antoine Semenyo powered home at the Kop end to punish a loose pass.

The reponse was swift and came courtesy of an acrobatic Luis Diaz finish, which was then followed by Mohamed Salah scoring on the follow-up from his own saved penalty.

But it seemed the hosts were going to be made to work for their victory when Mac Allister was shown what looked to be harsh red for a late challenge on Ryan Christie just past the hour mark.

However, they wrapped things up just four minutes later, Diogo Jota pouncing to finish from close range after Dominik Szoboszlai had tested Neto.
