Russian servicemen defeated an enemy detachment of about 150 men attempting to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Dnepr River.

The Dnepr Group allowed the enemy's advance forces, which were primarily made up of mercenaries, to land and then targeted the unloading boats with artillery fire. The artillerymen used air, shock, and radio-fused shells to assault the targets.

Scattered enemy groups were completely cleared by motorised rifle and reconnaissance units, which captured dozens of foreign weapons, ammunition, radios, and equipment as trophies.
