Climate change and global warming are related concepts, but they're not exactly the same. Global warming refers specifically to the increase in Earth's average surface temperature due to the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, primarily carbon dioxide from human activities like burning fossil fuels. Climate change, on the other hand, encompasses broader changes in Earth's climate patterns, including shifts in temperature, precipitation, sea levels, and more, resulting from the global warming phenomenon. So, while global warming is a significant driver of climate change, they're not interchangeable terms.
