The JKD straight rear kick is executed without a lot of chambering, in fact, I just lift my foot ( in a flexed position ) with the heel pointed up and toes pointed down then immediately releasing the kick toward my attacker's knees with my body ending up parallel to the ground at the point of impact then recovering back into a ready position to run away !!!
