Heart-shaped fire on Tofino beach by couple sparks outrage

Outrage is growing after a Tiktok video of a couple setting a heart-shaped fire on a Tofino beach in B.C. went viral.

The video showed a couple igniting a line of paper towels soaked in gasoline and shaped into a heart on the ground, with a caption that read "he wanted to do something cute to show how much he loves me - and then he did this."

The video was posted amid a severe drought, record-breaking heat and a provincial fire ban.

As Global's Kylie Stanton reports, the stunt - which the couple says was meant to be a romantic gesture is being viewed as grossly irresponsible.
