RT Reporter Caleb Maupin on Censorship of Russian Media in the West

The Best of Caleb Maupin series continues tonight with Episode 6.

On this edition of Strange Bedfellows we speak to Caleb Maupin, American correspondent for #Moscow’s #Russia Today Television (#RT) — and ask him what it’s like to work at the most censored network in the world.

Accused by the West of spreading propaganda about the Russian invasion of #Ukraine a year ago this month, the news network has been banned, sanctioned, and restricted on every major TV provider and most social media platforms such as YouTube.

RT is completely banned in Canada and Western Europe.

In September 2017, RT America was ordered to register as a foreign agent with the United States Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. (RT America was forced to close it’s doors in March 2022, after all platforms in the U.S. dropped the channel, essentially shutting it down.)

We also talk with Caleb about the current war in #Ukraine; the causes that led to it, and why #Putin decided it was time to intervene.
