A Year of Solar Transformations: NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory's Vigilant Watch

The Sun is in constant flux, under the perpetual watch of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory. Deployed on February 11, 2010, the SDO maintains continuous surveillance over the sun's entire surface, affording a prominent perspective of the elegant movements of solar matter within the corona, the sun's atmosphere. The sixth year of SDO's orbital mission remained consistent in this regard.
