Applications for positions on Department of Conservation Boards close at the end of January ⏳
There are 180 positions available across New Zealand 🇳🇿
Conservation boards are independent bodies that empower local communities to contribute to the management of conservation areas 🏞
Boards provide a voice for local concerns to gain traction in DOC’s work, and on a national level where required.
This is another opportunity to enact real change at a local level 🙌🏻
You could be a voice of reason in the conservation sphere.
The boards are involved in the review and monitoring of these statutory plans for their regions:
conservation management strategies
national park management plans, and
conservation management plans
