Gigachad Doesn't Think Propaganda is a Thing

This bloke is intelligent but employed spoiling tactics for most of the time we spent with him on the stream. He didn't want to learn something new and certainly didn't want to admit it if he had. You can tell from my voice he had been successful in irritating me if that was his goal.

I just loved the way he employed props, poses, disinterested body language, evasion and repetition of obvious ideas as appropriate responses to our points. He reminded me of Meryl Streep who is always engaged in an activity like peeling an orange while others are
talking in scenes.

The best book called Propaganda is by Jacques Ellul although Bernay's book is also essential reading on the subject. Ellul described the average news viewer as the Current Events Man. Someone fixated on the current events of the day and moving from one story to the next at the pace dictated by the media. A pace that makes it impossible for the viewer to understand the issue in any depth before being swept off by the next cycle. This leaves the viewer of the black portals with a choice between prescribed options that both lead to the opinions and actions the establishment had wanted all along.

On this channel I will cover some current events but I won't be dictated to by them. Study of the past is relevant and I don't want to be the kind of channel that helps people remain Current Event People.

(Office For Strategic Services). They were the precursor to the CIA. You can lead a know it all to water, but you can't make him drink it. Hoepfully he'll read the books I recommended to him with fresh eyes.
