Gov. Brian Kemp Interview (The Gathering)

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp joined Erick Erickson at the talk radio host’s annual event The Gathering for a wide-ranging discussion on the state of the country under the Biden administration and the future of the Republican party. Kemp addressed the indictment in Georgia of Former President Donald Trump head on, maintaining his position that the race was not stolen from Trump, while also stating emphatically that “this trial, despite what dates anybody is asking for, it’s not going to happen before the election.” He also spoke to the successes he and other GOP governors have had, particularly on the economy, in contrast to the left. Ultimately, Kemp said the party must look to the future and focus on nominating “a candidate that can win” in 2024.
