Migrants respond to pandemic-era immigration policy expiration

As a surge of asylum-seeking migrants cross the U.S.-Mexico border, U.S. officials are preparing for the end of the pandemic-era Title 42 policy.

President Joe Biden stated on Tuesday that the border will be "chaotic" when an emergency restriction on immigration related to the pandemic is lifted on Thursday.

When asked if the United States is prepared for the anticipated influx of migrants, Vice President Biden stated that his administration is doing everything possible to prepare.

"But it remains to be seen," he told the reporters. It will be disorderly for a while.

Hundreds of migrants are already resting on the downtown El Paso pavements and the city's shelters are at capacity.
