Welcome to Day 230, August 18th, 2023. We read the Fall of Jerusalem. Jeremiah is thrown into a dungeon, and King Zedekiah asks for advice from Jeremiah. The Fall of Jerusalem and Destruction of the Temple take place. Gedaliah is appointed Govenor and Jeremiah decides to stay with him after being given the choice. We read Psalms at the time of the Fall of Jerusalem and the Destruction of the Temple. They are a plea for relief from oppressors and a prayer for Israel, being destroyed by their Enemies.
