The Renewed Mind

The Renewed Mind ― “the primary element of spiritual growth”

The area of focus for spiritual growth according to the New Testament is the mind. The believer is told to ‘renew his mind’ in order to achieve spiritual growth and by doing so is promised to gain dominion over the devices of the enemy and victory in day-to-day life.

The Apostle writing under the inspiration of the Spirit says, ~ “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what [is] that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Rom. 12.2).

It all comes down to a battle between light (knowledge) and darkness (chaos). Jesus said spiritual life is completely contingent upon one’s understanding of truth. ~ “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1.4).
