White-Lined Sphinx Moth Sighting (Hyles Lineata)

This is one of the “Bird Moths,” called so because of its size and the way it looks when it’s flying… it looks, hovers, and flaps like a hummingbird. When I saw them flying around at first, I thought they were hummingbirds, and then I thought they were “moth beeflies” aka Hummingbird moths….
It actually turns out that this is a variety of that “bee-moth-fly-bird-lobstertail-butterfly” bugs even though it doesn’t look like the bee-yellow ones I used to see in Texas with the fanlike lobster-tails.
Very cool!
