West Kelowna declares state of emergency, issues evacuation orders as wildfire surges

An out-of-control wildfire on West Kelowna's doorstep has officials and locals gravely concerned. A local state of emergency is in effect, with more than 1,000 properties under evacuation order, while thousands more have been told to be ready to get ready to run.
