America Becoming a Banana Republic - The Georgia Indictment

In what world is asking to observe the auditing of the ballots in Georgia a criminal act? In what world is asking your supporters to watch coverage of a hearing on the election a criminal act? In America today, apparently. Trump and his team were indicted for these "overt acts in furtherance of the conspiracy" to challenge the results of the 2020 election. And by that new standard of justice, a lot of Democrats are in big trouble -- including Hillary Clinton and "fake Georgia governor" Stacey Abrams.

In this clip from the August 17, 2023 episode of The Heartland Institute's In the Tank podcast, Donald Kendal, Jim Lakely, Chris Talgo, and Linnea Lueken discuss the absurd indictment of Trump and his aides in Georgia. Lakely explains that in a country with a fair and functional justice system, one is not charged with crimes for following the Constitution and historical precedent to challenge the results of a close election.
