Ares I-X Flight Test Launches

The Ares I-X flight test, conducted by NASA on October 28, 2009, was a crucial milestone in the Constellation program. Uncrewed but vital, this test assessed the dynamics, aerodynamics, and separation processes of the Ares I rocket—a potential successor to the Space Shuttle.
