Chronological Bible in a Year 2023 - August 17, Day 229 - Jeremiah 35-37

Welcome to Day 229, August 17th, 2023. We read of the Obedient Rechabites and how they will always have descendants to be before the Lord for honoring the words of their forefathers, the Scroll of the Words of the Lord to Jeremiah is written, dictated by Jeremiah to Baruch the scribe. The Scroll is read in the Temple and Palace and then burned by Jehoiakim. A second Scroll with the same words and additions is written down. Zedekiah has vain hope and Jeremiah is imprisoned.
