The Apollo Moon missions were a series of NASA-led expeditions from 1969 to 1972 that successfully landed astronauts on the Moon. These missions aimed to explore the lunar surface, conduct scientific experiments, and gather valuable data about the Moon's geology and composition. Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and others became the first humans to walk on the Moon during the historic Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The missions that followed continued to build upon our understanding of the Moon and its history through scientific research and exploration.
