Vinland Saga season 2 episode 1

Despite rebuilding his village and hoping for a calm life with his family following his father's passing and the English raiders' destruction, Einar's dreams are crushed when his village is once again invaded by hostile forces. Devastated and powerless, Einar stands by as the Danes ruthlessly destroy everything he holds dear. In a cruel twist of fate, they take him captive and transport him to Denmark to be sold as a slave.
Guided by his mother's last words, Einar strives to survive. Luckily, he is bought by a benevolent slave owner and landlord named Ketil, who offers him the chance to regain his freedom if he works on the fields. Einar befriends Thorfinn, a fellow slave who is melancholic and defeated. As Einar and Thorfinn labour together towards earning their freedom, the ghosts of the past and present torment them. Nevertheless, they try to maintain hope, searching for redemption and peace amidst a world that is savage and unforgiving.
