Once your puppy is hesitating to take the treat on the floor or bowl it's time to set a firm boundary for your puppy like I do in this video.

This technique comes in handy so often! I use it to teach puppies to leave my shoes alone, to stop eating tissues, to go out of the room to give my guests some space, to get them to stop biting my arm/hands when they are mouthing a lot, etc etc

It all starts with training your puppy to respect your boundary as a fun game, and once they get it you can do away with the treats completely if you like.
