The Million Dollar Highway comes between the small towns of Silverton and Ouray in Southwest Colorado, US. The highest point reaches 11,018 feet at the peak of Red Mountain Pass, in the San Juan Mountain Range. The "Million dollar Highway" name was given to this road due to its infamous legend stating the road was built by using a million dollars worth of silver and gold tailings. This breathtaking drive is also considered one of the most dangerous highways in the world.
