2 arrested for shooting airsoft guns at bystanders in Atlanta; 1 was out on bond for murder

On August 3, 2023, around 11:15 a.m., Atlanta police responded to the area of Deering Rd and Loring Dr regarding a Mercedes occupied by two males who were shooting an airsoft gun at innocent pedestrians. An officer observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Peachtree Rd and Brighton Rd and conducted a traffic stop.

The driver, identified as 20-year-old Jamaireon Muse and the passenger, 18-year-old Tekai Key, were taken into custody without incident. Officers recovered multiple airsoft guns and firearms from inside of the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Mr. Muse was currently out on bond for murder out of Clayton County, and Mr. Key had an active warrant for Family Violence out of Carrollton, GA.

Mr. Muse was charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, along with multiple traffic violations. Mr. Key was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. There were multiple victims who all sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Both Mr. Muse and Mr. Key were transported to the Fulton County Jail and taken into their custody.
